This help guide will explain how a moderator can use the unit exemplar status to indicate outstanding work.
NOTE: Exemplar status can also be applied by Admin and System Admin users from the Unit Search page via mass actions. This guide will cover how to do this as a Moderator from the Quality > Moderation page.
1. To get started, log into your Moderator account on your platform.
If you have forgotten your password for your account, Click on Forgotten Password?
2. From your Home page, 'click' Quality in the left-hand sidebar. From there, 'click' Moderation.
NOTE: If you have a dedicated Quality Manager who handles Learner / Assessment Assignments of Moderation they will NOT be able to assign units for moderation using the Moderation Plan. They will still need to use the standard Moderation page to assign work for moderation.
3. Use the tick-box beside any units you wish to assign exemplar status to select them.
Multiple units can be selected. You may also wish to use the Filter Options on the right-hand side of this page to narrow down the list of visible units.
4. Under Actions on the right-hand side of the page, 'click' Set Exemplar.
Unset Exemplar, also found in the list of actions, can be used to remove exemplar status from any units.
5. Select an exemplar reason from the drop-down list.
This list can be customised by System Admin users from the Reference Data page, allowing them to add new options or amend existing ones. eAssessor Pro comes with a list of exemplar reasons by default.
6. Enter a description in the Exemplar description box. This can be used to provide additional detail as to why exemplar status has been assigned to that unit.
7. 'Click' Apply, then Confirm.
8. As a System Admin user, the ability to customise exemplar reasons can be found in Reference Data, found under the Admin dropdown in the left-hand sidebar.
9. On the Reference Data page, click Exemplar Reason.
10. Existing exemplar reasons can be amended by clicking on their name. To add a new reason, click Add Value.
11. Enter the name of the new exemplar reason, then click Save to add it.
12. Units that have been flagged as Exemplar can be identified using the Unit Search page, either by using the Exemplar filter in the Filter Options or by viewing columns N, O and P in the Export.
