How to Add an Online Induction to an existing course



This help guide will explain how to add an Online Induction to an existing course.
1. Access the platform from the login page.

2. Next select Admin > Courses



3. The Courses page will be displayed.



4. To add an activity to a course, click on the Units link.





5. The Course Unit page is displayed.




6. Next select the Add initial assessment link.



1.       7. Once you have clicked on the Add initial assessment link, the Initial assessment page will be displayed.



8. Enter the Name of the assessment and a description of what the assessment is.



9. Next click Save.



10. Next click on the Add new activity here link.



11. From the options shown select the most appropriate one you require. Examples will be shown for each available option.

SCORM
  1. To upload a SCORM file, select SCORM from the drop-down menu and the Upload SCORM page will be shown.
  2. Next click on the Choose File, Windows file Explorer will be shown, navigate to where your SCORM file is located, then select the file you require, once selected click on the Upload button.


12. Once the file has uploaded, the Add SCORM Activities page will be shown.



13. From the Add SCORM Activities page ensure that the Mandatory section has Yes selected, also check that the Launch file has the correct reference.



14. Once set, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the Save button. The SCORM file will be saved, and the Online Induction will be added to the Course Unit.



15. Click on the Expand Online Induction, by clicking on the down arrow.



16. Once the expand arrow has been clicked the Online Induction details will be displayed.



17. This concludes the SCORM option.

18. The next available option is Online Learning Content, click on the Add New Activity here link.



19. The Add Activity – Online Learning Content page is displayed.



20. There are two options for adding a new activity for the online learning content, these are New Activity (default tab) or Existing Activity (tab).



21. To add a New Activity, you will need to enter the Name of the activity (this is a mandatory field indicated by the red asterix *). Optional field is Description, and the final mandatory field is called Mandatory (you will need to select whether this new activity is mandatory Yes / No, by default the No option is selected).



22. Once you have entered the New activity details click on the Save button. The new activity has now been added to the online induction.



23. To add an Existing Activity, click on the Add new activity here link.



24Select the Online Learning Content option.



25. To add an Existing Activity, click on the Existing tab, then from the drop-down text boxes select the Course, Unit and Activity if applicable. Then click on the Save button.



26. To add another type of activity, click on the Add new activity here and select the Diagnostic option from the sub menu.



27. The add activity – diagnostic page is displayed. Enter information into the mandatory fields then click on the save button.



28. The diagnostic activity has now been added to the Online Induction.
