How to create a new course



This help guide will explain how to create a new course.
1. Access the platform from the login page.

2. Select Admin.



3. From Admin select > Courses.



4. From the Actions panel click on the Add a course button.





5. Once the Add a course button has been clicked the Add Course page is displayed. Complete the mandatory fields (these are marked with a RED *). Once all mandatory fields are completed click the Save button.

6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Save button. The course will then be Saved.



1.     7. Next click on the Units tab.



8. To Add content to a course you can click on the Add initial Assessment.



9. Enter the Name of the assessment and a description (the description is optional). Once completed click on the Save button.



10. Next you will need to add a unit to the course, you can create a New unit or use an Existing unit.

11. To add a New unit, enter the Name and description, then click save.




12. To add an Existing unit, click on the Existing unit tab. Select the name of the course and the unit from the drop-down boxes. Then click on Save.



13. Once the Initial assessment has been added click on the Add new activity here link, and a sub-menu will pop out, from this select one of the options shown. In this example I’m going to select SCORM.



14. Add a SCORM file to an activity is simple, select SCORM and the Upload SCORM page is displayed. Using the Choose File button select the SCORM file you wish to upload. Once selected click on the Upload button.



15. Once the SCORM file has been added, the SCORM activities page will be displayed.



16. Ensure that the Mandatory option box is set to Yes. Also ensure that the Launch File is set to /scormdriver/undexAPI.html.

17. Once Saved a Record saved message is displayed and the activity will be added to the course.



18. To preview the course select the Preview button from the Actions panel.
