Multiple Tutors Help Guide
This help guide will explain how the new feature 'Multiple Tutors' will work on the eAssessor Pro platform and what the differences are.
How It Works
Multiple Tutors work in a way where for each activity of a learner's course, there can be different Marking Tutors for each of those activities as well as a View Only Tutor for the overall course. The View Only Tutor can access and view all of the Marking Tutors' marking but CANNOT mark unless selected as a marking tutor also.
For example
From the set-up below.
The View Only Tutor will be able to view the marking for the 2 Activity tutors and see all of the learner information still. The only thing they cannot do is mark the learner's work.
Tutor Demo will only be able to mark Assessment 1.
Example Tutor will only be able to mark Assessment 2.
The View Only Tutor can also keep track of learner submissions coming in by checking their activity page, as the View Only Tutor won't be able to see these via their dashboard.
Changes for Learners
From a learner perspective, their course will show as having multiple tutors, and will show on each activity which tutor will be marking this.
Tutor Swapping
During a Learner's Assessment, if the tutor were to submit a resubmission back to the learner and then the Marking Tutor for that assessment were changed, the submission history will record any original marking by the original tutor, like below:
Moderation Changes
Multiple Tutors also comes with a few changes to the Moderation side of the platform. For instance, previously when a tutor submitted an Assessment to a Moderator, if the Moderator sent back any amendments to the Assessment, this would have needed to be actioned by the ORIGINAL tutor who marked the Assessments.
However, with Multiple Tutors this has unlocked this ability, and if the Activity Tutor were to be changed after any Moderation Amendments came back, this will allow the new tutor to complete those. However, on system, this will still be shown as it was marked by the original tutor, and the submission history will not be altered.
